fun day by the water

when we got there we were all exited to kayak, but before we went kayak we talked about the water. we talked about how it was freshwater instead of salt water. we also used a Turbidity tube to test how cloudy, or dirty the water was. i actually go to help the girl out. The Turbidity tube had a black and white disk at the bottom of the tube, a secchi disk. i put water in the tube but you have to be careful to not get leaves or plants in the tube, i accidentally got a leaf in the tube. then there was a thing at the bottom of the tube that let water out, you would let the water out until you could see the secchi disk.

In the artist boat I learned how to kayak ,Test Ph and salinity !
I learned how to kayak and how to use the paddles. It was fun on my way to the field trip and my way back. It was a long trip to the field trip. We got lost but then we figured how to get there. I ran into a tree in the kayaking boat it was funny. It was really fun
It was fun because we got kayak 🚣🏼

The field trip was spectacular! I was entertained by how we learned so much about the bay. It helped me learn how to take care of our marsh lands and the other types of water areas. The field trip not only help me learn more but helped me know  how to take care of my bay!
My Artist Boat field trip was really fun! When we went kayaking, a fish jumped into someone's kayak! The funniest part was learning about the ecosystem and it helps the island in really interesting ways. That was a really great day, and it was very cool! I'd definitely recommend going, and I look forward to doing it again if I could!
Artist Boat was an excellent trip and experience! The guides that showed us around were very welcoming while showing us how to kayak, watercolor paint, and measure the salinity in the water. They thought us how to rotate and move our kayak in a synchronized motion with our partner. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of knowledge the guides gave us about how to connect the two subjects science and art. I left the trip knowing that it was a phenomenal explanation of our environment of Galveston, Texas, therefore I have a better understanding of what the water is, the animals surrounding the bay, and the history of the marches!

Artist Boat Field Trip

I enjoyed this school outing vey much. Not once was I bored just sitting in my partner an i's kayak. It was wonderful to see animals in their natural habitat, and not the Houston Zoo. Also, the kayaking was superb. It was difficult at first, but as the instructors demonstrated how to preform the activity, it nearly became second nature. All in all, I can't wait to go back next year.
